A fundamental pillar of Starling's approach is our use of post-consumer recycled gold.
We use 100% post-consumer recycled 24 karat gold, which is alloyed into 14k yellow, rose and white gold in Los Angeles CA. Our sterling silver is also 100% post-consumer recycled.
We are also able to recycle client metals and refine the metals for trade or use them in new designs for the client. Allowing us to preserve precious resources but also reduce the environmental footprint associated with traditional mining.
*Excluding chain and findings.
All stones are responsibly sourced, recycled or traceable mine-to-market when available.
Currently we use a mix of 50% recycled diamonds on most pieces, but are moving towards using 100% post-consumer recycled diamonds.
Mine-to-market gems are marked in the gemstone description. This means we have purchased these stones directly from the mine and have full traceability on the exact origins. If mine-to-market or post-consumer recycled stones are important to you, please let us know so we can help guide your journey to the perfect gemstone.
We prioritize ethical practices across our supply chain. From responsibly sourced materials with mine traceability, to only working with local manufacturers and goldsmiths in Los Angeles’s renowned Jewelry District. We ensure that each piece not only tells a story but also upholds the highest standards of ethical production.
This dedication to quality craftsmanship and sustainable practices enhances the longevity and uniqueness of each creation and aligns with the values of mindful consumption and customer satisfaction.
