We accept ten Heirloom Revival projects each month to ensure a thoughtful and personal experience for every client. A $200 non-refundable deposit secures your place and is applied toward your final project.

For planning purposes, the full process typically takes 8–10 weeks from start to finish.

During the first week of the month you’ve reserved, we’ll mail you a Heirloom Revival shipping kit. Inside, you’ll find detailed instructions on how to safely package your jewelry, protective bags for each piece, and a prepaid, insured shipping label affixed to your box.

We understand how precious your pieces are and handle every shipment with care. Please follow the included safety guidelines and reach out with any questions. You’ll receive a notification as soon as your heirlooms arrive safely at the Starling studio.

Once your heirlooms arrive safely at the Starling studio, we confirm the design direction you’ve chosen and provide a final estimate based on your exact stones and materials.

Pricing includes insured shipping both ways, custom renderings, metalsmithing, design, and any new materials required for your piece.

To begin the transformation, we require a 50% deposit toward your project. Once received our team carefully removes each stone and inspects it for quality and durability.

This stage typically takes about two weeks, allowing us to finalize every detail before moving into production.

Your Heirloom Revival project has begun. Depending on your design, this stage may include removing additional stones, disassembling settings, and weighing metals. During this phase, we’ll share a sketch and/or 3D CAD rendering of your new design for your review and approval before moving into metalsmithing. Each project includes up to three edits of the rendering. This portion typically takes about two weeks.

Once your design is approved, the metalsmithing begins. Your 3D model is cast in gold, or your existing metal is melted down and used. Our skilled goldsmiths then shape, saw, sand, set, and polish every detail to create your revived heirloom. This process usually takes three to four weeks.

Your Heirloom Revival is complete! We’ll email your final balance invoice, confirm your return shipping address, and coordinate a delivery time that works best for you.

All finished Heirloom Revival pieces are shipped overnight or two-day, fully insured, and require a signature upon delivery. We prefer that your first glimpse of the finished piece be in person, so we prefer not to send preview images, but if you'd like them let us know.
