The Top Spring Summer Jewelry Trends We Love

The sun is coming out. Days are getting longer. Flowers are blooming. Here at Starling HQ, spring is the breath of fresh air we welcome with open arms. Besides the change in weather, we always look forward to the trends that pop up. As we’ve eased back into a more “normal” life of being out and about, we’ve noticed jewelry is trending towards a more playful, nostalgic look. People want to have FUN, and express themselves with personal pieces. We couldn’t agree more. Read on to see our top trending pieces for this spring and summer season, chosen by Team Starling.

Beaded Jewelry

Playful without looking too gaudy, our latest drop includes these beaded beauties.
“Every year, I love building a summer-y stack of colorful bracelets.  It's the best way to incorporate color for the sunny season, especially when I wear it amongst my yellow gold every-day jewels,” Gabriella, our Marketing Manager, says. “Naturally, I am SO excited to style these new turquoise and tourmaline beaded pieces! They are so fun for summer- I have been styling them before they even launched!”

Signet Rings

Signet rings are a classic we’re happy to see gaining popularity!
When asked about the trend, our founder and CEO, Chelsey, tells me, “Stacked signet rings are my summer staple. I love wearing two little signets on my pinky. One is our Petite Signet Ring that I got engraved for my hubby and one is the Moon & Star Signet reminding me to always reach for the stars.”

Flower Charms

What could be more spring-y than flowers? Treat yourself to a bouquet that lasts forever, like our recycled 14k solid gold and diamond charms. Hannah, our Graphic and Web Designer, told me why our newly dropped flower charms are some of her favorite pieces for the season. “If you’re like me, you probably haven’t taken off your necklaces for... let’s just say an indeterminate amount of time. My favorites are those with sentimental value, which is why the flower charms are so dear to me. I love how they can carry different meanings depending on who’s neck they’re on. For me, the new Magnolia Flower Charm is a sweet reminder of the little Seattle neighborhood I grew up in (conveniently named Magnolia!)”

Gold Hoops

Hair’s up, hoops are on. Elise, our Production and Customer Service Manager, notes “I’m a bit of a piercing addict, so hoop earrings are a staple for me throughout the year. As spring comes around, I tend to wear hoops in every hole ‘cause I love the way it looks with my hair back. They’re so comfortable, I forget I’m wearing them. And I love that I can sleep in them. When I catch them in the mirror I fall in love with the look all over again.”

Layering Necklaces

Sometimes more is more, especially when it comes to layering necklaces. We can’t get enough of layered chains adorned with charms.“Layering 3 gold necklaces is a year round look for me, but especially in the summer when necklines are a little lower and my skin is little tanner I love having my necklaces be front and center and am never without a rotating look of crystals, flower charms, and sparkly diamonds,” Chelsey says of the look.
