The Opal Zaha Ring is a one-of-a-kind birthstone ring, handmade in recycled 14k yellow gold. Opal is a birthstone of October and known for its unique property of opalescence. A spectacular play-of-color that is unlike any other stone and gives opals their colorful kaleidoscope look. In Indian mythology, the Goddess of the Rainbow was turned into an opal. In ancient Rome, opals symbolize love and hope. This architectural opal ring juxtaposes two unique cuts and setting styles. A faceted 0.13ct pear-shaped opal that is prong-set, kissing a 1.7ct oval cabochon opal bezel set. Named the Zaha ring after the transformative October born British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid.
