We promote #wearalways, but there are times when you may want to be more careful and remove your jewelry before doing certain activities.
These times include:
Strenuous activity that involves rubbing against metal such as exercise classes or weight lifting. Cleaning with harsh chemicals such as bleach, especially anything with Chlorine... and make sure to avoid swimming pools and hot tubs with Chlorine, which can cause discoloring and damage to fine jewelry. Also, you may want to avoid activities where your hands get extra dirty, as they can cause build-up on the jewelry (although it can usually be removed easily). This may include activities such as gardening, working with clay, cooking, or using lotion/oils. Please use extra caution with softer stones such as pearls, turquoise, and opals.
In order to avoid tarnishing, it is important to remove any item that is Gold-Dipped Silver before getting it wet or using lotions and perfumes.
CLEANINGIf your jewelry becomes dull or dirty, we recommend using a soft brush (a make-up brush or soft toothbrush) and an organic cleaning spray or non-detergent soap. Rinse with warm water and air dry. You can also use a lint-free jewelry polishing cloth. If your jewelry needs a deep cleaning, please take it to your local jeweler or email us.
STORAGEThe best way to store your Starling jewelry is in the box you received the piece in. Any soft fabric bag or box will also do, as long as it is clean and dry.
WHAT IF AN ITEM BREAKS AFTER 10 DAYS AND I SWEAR IT’S NOT MY FAULT?We stand by the quality of our items. If an item breaks after our 10-day return policy, please send an image of the item to email@example.com. We can then determine the next steps, whether it’s exchanging the item or refunding the repair cost for store credit.
THE ITEM BROKE AND IT'S TOTALLY MY DOG'S FAULT OR MINE!That's okay, it can probably be fixed. Send an image of the piece to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we can determine our repair charges. Then you can decide if you want to mail it back to us or take it to your local jeweler. Shipping charges will be the customer’s responsibility.
MY RING IS TOO BIG/SMALL. CAN YOU RESIZE IT?Yes! First figure out what size you would like. We have a handy ring-sizing chart on the site. Then email email@example.com with your information. We will get back to you within 24 hours with a quote and timeline.

DO YOU SHIP WORLDWIDE?We ship to select international countries. We are not responsible for tax and duty fees.
WHAT ARE YOUR SHIPPING METHODS WITHIN THE USA?We offer several options: USPS Priority Mail: 2 to 5 business day, FedEx 2-day and FedEx overnight. When we offer free shipping, it is with USPS Priority. We are not responsible for delayed delivery caused by carrier. All orders over $100 require a signature with delivery.
HOW LONG DO ORDERS TAKE TO PROCESSES?As our company grows, please be patient with us. Items are currently made to order and mailed within 3 to 7 business days. If this is rush item please email us and we will see what we can do.
CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?Yes! We will send you a tracking number as soon as the items ships.
CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE A PRODUCT?Starling wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not entirely pleased with a product you purchased, Starling will accept items for exchange or return. Please ensure that the item is returned in new and re-saleable condition within 10 days from the delivery date of your order. Returns after the 10-day period are only eligible for a store credit. If you would like to make a return please email us at email@example.com for a return authorization. No refund will be granted without return authorization. Returns will be credited minus a $10 return shipping cost. International shipping charges are non refundable. You’ll receive the refund within 5-7 business days depending on your bank For your protection, please pack your returns in the original box with the return authorization form. Return your order with an insured courier (e.g., FedEx, UPS) and retain your receipt. Once your return is processed, the purchasing card will be credited for the merchandise amount only. We cannot refund shipping charges on return items. A few select pieces may not be returnable; if that is the case we will let you know BEFORE we process your order, giving you the option to cancel the order. Personalized items and special orders cannot be returned. Starling is not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit. SECURE PAYMENT:We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We do not accept Discover cards, checks or money orders. Full payment is due before any order is processed and produced.
SALES TAX:Sales tax is applicable on all orders shipped within the state of California.
GIFT WRAP:All jewelry is shipped in our logo box unless otherwise specified. Free Holiday gift wrapping includes multiple bows and an optional personalized gift card.

All total carat weight provided is estimated and can be within .05 carats of the stated weight.
