Who Made My Jewelry?
In an effort to bring change and transparency to the fashion industry, the people of the Fashion Revolution created a yearly movement called Fashion Revolution Week. It's time to ask #whomademyjewelry?
The photo above is from my own cleaned-up jewelry bench some 10 years ago. At that point I was only a few years into my career in jewelry, excitedly learning metalsmithing via apprenticeships and beginning to study gems at GIA. The art of metalsmithing is at the core of why I do what I do. It's why I was determined to create Starling and continue to have each piece made by hand in Los Angeles. I am constantly in awe of the amazingly talented people I get to work with every day.
In honor of Fashion Revolution Week, we are delighted to introduce you to a few of the talented people that make Starling Jewelry.
