Stone: alexandrite

DESCRIPTION

The alexandrite pavé ring perfect for celebrating June birthdays every day or for anyone that appreciates this rare and unique natural stone. Alexandrite is a color-change stone, showing different colors in natural light (green-blue) versus incandescent light (reddish-purple). Our alexandrite stones are small, and show slight flashes of reddish-purple in incandescent light. The stone was first discovered in 1830 in Russia’s Ural Mountains and is named after Russian Tsar Alexander II. Alexandrite is believed to be an omen of good luck and prosperity.
